4. Data Sharing and International Transfers

Within Clarbonyx bv, only Clarence Wybon has access to your personal data.

Exceptionally, the website administrator may gain access to the databases for statistical and technical purposes. During these actions, no specific data is consulted, nor is any data stored. This serves solely to verify the functioning of the forms and other technical aspects. At the moment, Clarence Wybon serves as website administrator.

We do not sell your data to third parties. We only share data with trusted service providers essential to our operations (such as accountants or IT providers). Because our website is built on Squarespace, your data may be transferred to and stored on servers located in the United States.

  • Website Platform: Squarespace. As our hosting and store provider, Squarespace processes data on our behalf. We rely on Squarespace’s use of Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) to ensure your data receives a level of protection equivalent to that in the EU.

  • Other Third Parties: This may include payment processors (for orders), newsletter platforms, software tools and legal authorities if required by Belgian law.

For meetings, we use Tinrate and Microsoft Bookings. While data is primarily stored within the European Union, technical exceptions or standard configurations may route data via Microsoft Corporation in the United States. This transfer is safeguarded by the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission. Tinrate and Microsoft may process certain aggregated system logs for their own legitimate business operations (such as system diagnostics and security). We have no control over this specific data processing, for which Tinrate and Microsoft respectively act as independent controllers.

For the execution of advanced chemical risk assessments, mutagenicity predictions, or impurity qualifications (e.g., QSAR modeling), we may process structural chemical data or project-related descriptors using specialized third-party scientific software platforms and regulatory databases. Where these platforms act as data processors, transfers are strictly limited to technical, non-identifiable chemical data (such as molecular structures or SMILES strings). To the extent that any proxy data could be linked back to a specific client project, these transfers are fully safeguarded by strict confidentiality agreements and the data protection standards maintained by the respective software providers.

5. Processing of Special Categories of Personal Data

Special personal data concerns sensitive information such as medical details, criminal records, ethnic data, or data concerning race. We do not actively collect or request special categories of personal data through our website. Such data will only be collected and processed if there is a strict legal necessity to do so, with your explicit consent, and/or at your specific request within the framework of our professional consulting services, and always in full compliance with the GDPR.

Confidential Project Data & Compliance Assessments: In the scope of providing specialized life science consultancy, Clarbonyx may encounter or process highly confidential operational, proprietary, or product-related data on behalf of corporate clients. We strictly apply professional secrecy and technical compartmentalization to all such data (see also our Terms of Service). Furthermore, where consulting assignments involve complex or large-scale data processing activities, the Company will systematically evaluate the necessity of a Data Protection Impact Assessment (DPIA) in close collaboration with the Client to ensure absolute regulatory alignment before any processing takes place.

Under the GDPR, you have the following rights regarding your data:
